Hello, I'm Sarah Jane Goodman!
I have been a seamstress for 20 years, and when I learned chain stitch embroidery I fell in love.
Chain stitch embroidery is a technique that interlocks the thread as it’s embroidered creating a unique chain thread line. Though created with a machine, the process is done entirely by hand using a directional crank that essentially lets me "draw" with thread. This art form dates back over a century and my vintage machine is from the early 1900s!
Cranking out designs by hand feels special, that I get to help keep this lost art alive with my work!
From a beautifully stitched greeting card, to a full art piece on the back of your favorite jacket... the applications seem almost endless and I love creating your custom ideas!
